I'm Happily Exhausted

So today is Thursday. My two good girlfriends are moving to Boston this weekend and I've been partying with them for a week straight. Their going away party was Saturday, so we partied at Dr. Dremos. A girls nite was planned for Sunday nite. Monday nite I helped Katty move. Tuesday nite I had a work happy hour (and made out in the bathroom of the bar). Wednesday nite a co-worker had peeps over. I've had a great drunken week, but now my body must rest. At least I'm not bored, right? Hugs, CK

Okay, so it's 11:23pm on Wed nite. I'm bored. Not just right now, but generally bored. I've been generally bored for a LONG time. In fact, I can't remember the last time I was not bored. Well, that's not true. For a couple of days last week, I DECIDED to not be bored and it worked. For 3 days. Now I'm bored again. Maybe I'm only happy when I'm really busy. Could that be it? I watched Project Runway marathon tonight. 4 Episodes back to back. I hadn't really ever watched it before tonight. Hmmmm..I'm gonna read Amy's blog now. Bye.

So, I was supposed to meet my ex today for dinner. I haven't seen him in 5 months - since the day we broke up. I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. I wake up with terrible cramps and am getting a cold. Also, I have some sort of cold sore thing on my lip. I think it was God's way of telling me - don't sleep with him! So, I postposed the dinner for a couple of weeks.

I'm sitting here at work waiting for my freakin email to archive. I'm trying to get it all cleaned up so that all 2005 email is in the 2005 email folders. It says I have 11 minutes left, but those things are never accurate. I asked a computer whiz why that is the case, and he said that they have never been able to build an algorithm that will sucessfully predict how much time it will take to store data. Therefore, they give us their best guess and leave it at that.

I had some really wierd dreams last nite. I dreamt that I was on vacation with my family and we were swimmming in the lake and all of a sudden a HUGE shark was in the shallow end. It turned into a woman, and walked onto the bank and sat down. It was looking very hungrily at the little children. She started eating kids and ate 3. Everyone was screaming and scared. I ran next door to the tool shed to get some weapons so that I could kill the shark, but by the time I got back she was gone. Maybe I dreamt this because I was watching something on 9/11 before I went to bed. Maybe the shark represents the terrorists and the fact that what they did was larger than life. We were all just watching paralyzed with fear. I finally tried to do something about it and it was too late - just like the police and firemen. Hm...

Okay, so I accidentally deleted my first blog. So far I suck at this! I used to be a computer programmer for god's sake! Sigh...
So I am in Houston visiting with Amy and Daniel and Sadie (the Border Collie). They are great to hang out with. Everytime I'm in town I have a nice bed, fresh towels, a lavish breakfast, etc. It's like staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Amy and Daniel have always been and continue to be my model couple. They are very different but they complement each other very well. They have had their ups and downs, but it is always evident that they love each other no matter what. They are newly preggers. So exciting! I'll be an 'aunt'. I can't wait to see how they grow and evolve as a little one comes into their life.
Tomorrow I'm going on a cruise to the Caribbean with my mom, dad, brother and brother's friend. It will be really fun. A seven day cruise feels like a month. So much happens in a single day that you feel as though you have been gone from your normal life for much longer. Hopefully I'll get a chance to scuba dive.
Today we may go see Clerks II. I think I want to hook up with Kevin Smith. He would be a blast. Probably high all the time.
Sadie and I spooned last nite. She is so soft and cudly. I love her.
Okay, peeps, I gotta go primp. Peace!
